慈善事业
慈善事业 is derived from the Greek words philos, 意思是“爱,和anthropos, 意思是“人类.” Quite literally, 慈善事业 means, “love of humankind.” Its meaning seems almost laughably archaic or naïve in our society today.
Fenwick High School’s mission, guided by Dominican Catholic values, is to inspire excellence 和 educate each student to lead, 成就与服务. We provide a multi-disciplinary, liberal arts-based education, grounded in the four pillars of Dominican spirituality (prayer, 研究, 社区, 讲道), which emphasizes moral theology, critical thinking 和 respect for the natural scientific world. It is an essential mission. The Institutional Advancement Department (IAD) exists to advance this mission.
IAD does this by focusing on activities that are external to Fenwick’s core educational mission, but are vital to the long-term strength 和 vigor of a private, Catholic high school: marketing communications, 校友关系, 事件, 荣誉及奖励 和 慈善事业.

慈善事业 plays a critical role in furthering the 93-year history of Fenwick 和 strengthening the school for its second century. IAD seeks philanthropic support from the entire Fenwick 社区 to help fund annual operating expenses, capital improvements, tuition assistance 和 endowment.
Fenwick’s primary philanthropic priority is to provide our students 和 families the financial support – 和 other resources (programs, 设施, 等.) - they need to come to Fenwick, 留在esball世博, to provide a first class educational opportunity for the students of today who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
